Shepherd's Psalm Illustrations

THE DETAILS

I was tasked with creating three illustrations to accompany an article in the Restoration Issue of Daughters of Promise meditating on Psalm 23. The author walks through some tough scenarios in her life, and how God comforted her through the words of the Shepherd’s Psalm. Three scenes I chose to illustrate were “He leads me beside still waters”, “He makes me lie in green pastures”, and “The Valley of the Shadow of Death”. 

ART DIRECTION

Blue // Muted // Calming // Serene // Peaceful

The art direction for this issue was tones of calming blues and grays, with hints of gold/browns throughout. Overall, a very calming and muted color scheme, which lent itself well to the feeling of the illustrations I wanted to convey.
